I illustrated three of the forty tree murals along EDSA, the Philippines' busiest highway with Boysen® KNOxOUT™ paint. This innovative product contains CristalACTiV™ technology that absorbs energy from light and reacts with harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the air, and neutralizes it through a chemical process. The NOx are broken down and converted into harmless substances that can simply be washed away by the next rainfall.
We demonstrated the power of this air-cleaning paint by 'painting trees' along the most polluted area in Metro Manila. This innovative campaign by TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno eventually won local and international awards for the refreshing piece of street art.
